Help me chooseVest questions, answered.
Why does a Wolf vest cost more than a cheap weighted vest?
Cheap vests fail at predictable points: thin shells tear, stitching pulls loose, and the sewn-in weight can't change as you get stronger. A Wolf vest is over-built at exactly those points: a heavy-duty 500D to 600D shell, reinforced stitching, and weight that swaps out: plate pairs on the three plate vests, included iron blocks on the Training Vest. And it's covered for life against defects, so you buy one vest instead of a replacement every year.
Does the vest include weight, and can I add load over time?
The Simple, Quick-Release, and Plate Carrier vests are sold without plates; steel plate pairs swap in seconds. 5.75, 8.75 and 14.5 lb fit all three vests; the 19.75 lb pair fits the Plate Carrier only. The Training Vest is the exception; its 2 lb iron blocks are included.
Will I have to keep adjusting it?
Curved plates ride flat against the torso, and adjustable shoulder and waist straps cinch them tight. As one Amazon customer reviewer puts it: "the weight plates are held securely without shifting around during workouts."
What body sizes does it fit?
The plate vests adjust to fit most builds, XS–XL, through the shoulder and waist straps. Men and women wear them across a wide range of builds and ages.
What training is it designed for?
Weighted walks, rucks, stairs, hikes, bodyweight work (push-ups, squats, step-ups), and conditioning. See the beginner's guide for a simple first month under load.
What do the warranty and returns cover?
